KNOCK is an Android application that helps you notice important WhatsApp messages from the contacts you choose to monitor. This Privacy Policy describes how KNOCK handles information when people use the application. It explains what may be processed, how it is used, and the choices available to you.

Depending on the features you enable and use, the application may process the following information:

• WhatsApp notification content, including sender information and message previews, when WhatsApp access (notification access) is enabled on your device.
• Message content that you choose to send to the application's message analysis service.
• Contacts you add to monitor and the monitoring mode you assign to each of them, so the application knows whose messages should be tracked.
• Technical information necessary for the application to operate, such as a device identifier and basic device or application information used to register and synchronize your settings.

WhatsApp access is optional. The application relies on notification information to provide its intended functionality, and features that depend on it will not work if access is not granted.

Information may be processed in order to:

• Detect relevant WhatsApp notifications from your monitored contacts.
• Analyze messages to determine whether they require attention.
• Trigger an alarm or notification, including full-screen alarms, when appropriate.
• Maintain and improve the application's functionality.

Message analysis may involve an automated (AI) service. When you use analysis features such as Smart mode, the message content you submit may be sent to an external service to produce a result. This only happens when that functionality is enabled and actually used.

We do not claim that message content is never stored. Whether the message content or the resulting analysis is retained depends on how the analysis service is configured.

Information may be shared with service providers that are required to deliver the features you enable. This includes providers used for message analysis, and hosting or infrastructure providers that operate the application's backend.

We do not claim that data is never shared. Information submitted to the analysis service is processed by that service in order to return a result.

Information is retained only for as long as necessary to provide the application's functionality and to meet applicable legal obligations.

Actual retention periods depend on the services used and how they are configured. We do not specify fixed deletion schedules that are not verified.

Reasonable technical and organizational measures are used to protect information. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and absolute security cannot be guaranteed.

You can control how the application works in several ways:

• WhatsApp access: enable or disable notification access for KNOCK at any time in your Android settings.
• Analysis features: stop using the application's message analysis features, or leave them disabled, so that message content is not submitted.
• Monitored contacts: remove the contacts you added so their messages are no longer tracked.
• Uninstall: uninstall the application to remove it from your device.

Disabling permissions may prevent some features from working as intended.

The application is not intended for children under 13, or a higher minimum age where required by applicable law. We do not knowingly collect information from children below the relevant minimum age.

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. When changes are made, the effective date at the top of this page will be revised.
